-Pouring the 2nd floor and roof beams

Slowly but surely the contractor starts to place the forms for the 2nd floor,  called a suspended slab.  At this point, pipes, electrical conduits, drains and other provisions are installed to avoid the additional work of chipping poured concrete.

Upon reaching the beams for the roof, provisions for the connections of the roof trusses are put in place.  If the trusses are fabricated from angle bars, steel plates are placed with high strength bolts and are coordinated so that the roof aligns properly.
